KCC History
Kent Covenant Church officially came into existence
in January of 1967. A core group of 7 families had
a vision for starting a new Covenant Church
on the East Hill of Kent. They expected East Hill
to grow a great deal.
Kent Covenant's first meeting place was the band room of a local junior high school. In 1972, the church completed its first structure on what had previously been a small farm on the corner of 240th and 120th. The Church acquired adjacent parcels of land over the years and in 1981 completed the sanctuary. The Carlson Christian Education Center (with additional classrooms and a gym) was completed in 1996.
In 2001, KCC planted CedarCreek Covenant Church in Maple Valley. We broke ground again to add classrooms in the spring of 2007 and are currently watching new construction taking place. We will be dedicating the new building in the spring of 2008.
